Today was a great day. Jordan took the day off from work to celebrate our anniversary, and we had my twenty week ultra-sound appointment that he didn't want to miss. Our appointment was early so we had to wake the boys and feed them breakfast in the car, which Jack always thinks in fun.
We arrived at 7:15am to my appointment. We were quickly taken back to the ultra-sound tech. Jack kept asking the lady, "Why are the lights off?" Then the lady pulled up the baby and Jack asked, "Is our baby black?" We all laughed, and then he went on to say that we should name our black baby Bellious:-) It was so fun for Jack to see and hear the baby's heartbeat. He was very concerned that the baby was going to come out, and we told him not for twenty more weeks.
We did not find out the sex of the baby, but we had the nurse write down the sex and seal it in an envelope. I think I am starting to cave on waiting. I actually felt sad when we left the doctor and did not know what we are having. Needless to say, I don't think I will be able to wait:-) Whether we look or not, we are not going to share the sex with anyone, so you will all have to wait until he/she arrives.
After our appointment we took the boys to story/music hour at Gap Kids, it was so fun. We went home for lunch and hung out with the boys that afternoon. It's always so much fun having Jordan home for three day weekends.
Our babysitter came over around six o'clock that evening. Jordan had made dinner reservations for us before we would head to see The Fray in concert at Chastain Park, an outdoor amphitheatre.
We arrived to the concert around 8:30, and the weather was looking great. After getting something to drink, we started walking towards our seat and it starts to rain! Thankfully we were under a breezeway near the line for buying rain ponchos. We stood in line for about twenty minutes, purchased our ponchos and headed to our seats. By this time the rain had blown over.
The Fray was onstage at nine o'clock. We listened to about four or five songs, I feel a few raindrops, and then five minutes later the skies open up with torrential downpour:-) We were soaked! Our ponchos kept our shirts dry:-) We took cover and watched the remainder of the concert.
It was a great time. The music was awesome, and getting wet just made it a memory. We will never forget our fifth wedding anniversary.
