I found out I was pregnant with her two weeks after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. This was a dark time in my life, very hard and very sad. But, God blessed us with Grace, and she was the "light" in our dark hour.
Jordan and I both said that if she was a girl, her name would be Grace. We both knew it. God had shown us "grace" by allowing me to have another child. Pregnancy puts MS into remission. This pregnancy would give us time to process the diagnosis. It would give us time to prayerfully consider which treatment was best for me. It would protect my body from having another relapse. This pregnancy, we knew, was God showing us His grace.
Fast forward nine months to December 14, 2011, and we were anxiously awaiting her arrival. Like all of our children, we couldn't wait to see and meet her. At 4:18 p.m., Grace Catherine entered this world.
We dearly love each of our four children. They are each unique in their own way. They are each a tremendous blessing. They each make up our family of six.
So thankful for Grace. Happy Birthday sweet Gracie!
