Answered Prayer

Last night, after the children were in bed, Jordan and I watched the snow begin to fall. It was coming down pretty hard, so I knew there would be plenty for the boys to enjoy when they woke up in the morning.

We had discussed the possibility of snow with the boys all weekend. Jack was so excited. He was talking about the snowman that we would build. He wanted to know if I had carrots and raisins so that he could make the face. He wanted to know if Daddy would be able to stay home from work. He was definitely our most excited child!

Last night, before going to sleep, Jack prayed, "Dear Jesus, please let it snow tonight when I am sleeping." He prayed, "Lord, please let daddy stay home from work tomorrow so that he can play in the snow with me."

Well, to Jack's amazement, he came running into our room this morning exclaiming, "God answered my prayer! It snowed! It snowed! Look at all the snow!"

Jack asked for the snow, believing that God would answer him, and God did answer this four year olds prayer.

"Therefore, I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you." Mark 11:24

And, Daddy is at home today!:-)
