Jordan usually makes it home every night to eat dinner with us, and to put the children to bed. After their bath, they get dressed, then they each select a few books to have daddy read to them.
It is always fun to watch them as they select their evening reads. Jack will always choose two LONG books; he does this intentionally so that bedtime will be delayed even longer. Jack is not a huge fan of sleep, he is always worried that he will "miss" something, or he is too busy rehearsing what tomorrow will look like:_
Luke simply selects books based on what he is in the mood for. It varies from Lentil to Blueberries for Sal to Knuffle Bunny. We never know what it will be, but it will always be a good one!
And Claire, well, she will always choose Goodnight Moon That is by far her favorite book. She loves to point out the kittens, balloon, moon, and cow. She absolutely loves this book, and the boys also enjoy listening.
Lately Luke has been pulling out How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Jack is quick to tell him that Christmas is over and that we don't read Christmas books after Christmas, but Jordan tells them that it's fine to read Christmas books year round, which leads to the reading of the Grinch.
Anyway, I decided to capture storytime the other night because they were having so much fun. I heard the laughter, and I immediately grabbed my camera and began shooting.
P.S. Jordan is the BEST story reader. He is extremely animated, which the children LOVE. In fact, there are a few books that he does so well that I don't even attempt to read to the boys during the day because I know it will not be the same:-)
